AS I WAS TOLD: Anna, the youngest Clemens girl, went to Normal School (secretarial school) and worked at the Mayo Clinic. She was the last girl at home and the last to wed. She married Frank Walsh, a truck driver, an auto salesman, and a grain elevator man, which was as close as he came to farming. After their boys were born, she and Frank moved to Iowa. Anna, Frank, and all three of their sons died of heart attacks, not a common cause of death in the family. Anna was pleasant, kind, and always had a smile. She and her sister Agnes were best friends.

Gordon Clemens says
Great pictures add a lot to the post. It seems all of our relatives were Catholics, and few ever married non-Catholics until I married a Methodist in 1956.
Catherine Sevenau says
From my high school friend:
“Hi Catherine –
The research you have done on your family line is amazing and a tribute to those who preceded you. It is so revealing to understand the lives that came before us and to whom we owe a lot. I am sure that if we all did this, we could learn a lot. As a history major in college, I think everyone should know more about our history – individually and nationally. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.”
