Helen M. Reuland, 102, of Aurora passed away on Friday, November 19, 2010 at Jennings Terrace. She was born March 9, 1908 in Aurora, IL.

Helen was a life-long member of Holy Angels Parish in Aurora. For more than seventy-five years she was a volunteer organist at Holy Angels Church. Helen graduated from Holy Angels Catholic Grade School and West Aurora High School. In 1992 she received the National Catholic Elementary School Distinguished Graduate Award for exemplifying the highest qualities of Catholic Education. Helen was a long time member of the Girls Scouts-Fox Valley Council and very active in training the Girls Scout leaders. Helen was a professional business woman all of her life. She worked for E.J. Farrell Plumbing and Heating Company and Steve Summer Plumbing and Heating.

Helen is survived by her sister…; and by her nephews…; and her nieces…; and many grand and great grand nieces and nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Mary (Nigon) Reuland; brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Marie (Daleiden) Reuland, brother Matthew Reuland; sister Catherine Reuland; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy (Virgil) Nickels; brother-in-law Edwin H. Woodrick; nephews Richard M. (Rosemarie) Reuland, Rev. John E. Reuland and William Nickels.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 23, 2010 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at The Daleiden Mortuary, 220 N. Lake Street, Aurora, IL, 60506. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. from The Daleiden Mortuary to Holy Angels Church, 180 S. Russell Avenue, Aurora, IL, 60506 at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

The family would like to express special thanks to the entire staff at Jennings Terrace for the wonderful loving care they gave to Helen for the last sixteen years. A special thanks also to Vitas Hospice Care for their special care during her final days here on earth. Memorial contributions may be made in Helen’s memory to Holy Angels Church, or to Jennings Terrace.

AURORA — Marian M. Woodrick, 93, of Aurora passed away Monday, Feb. 21, 2011.
She was a longtime active parishioner at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. She thoroughly enjoyed her years in the primary department and treasured her time there. She is survived by two daughters… ; two grandchildren… ; one sister-in-law, …; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin “Scott” Woodrick; two brothers, Ralph and Matthew Reuland; and three sisters, Helen and Catherine Reuland, and Dorothy Nickels.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to her extended family at Jennings Terrace for all the love and care shown to her. The family will be receiving guests on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave., Montgomery. A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 620 Fifth St., Aurora. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
