Recitation of the rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be held Dec. 4 for former Eugene resident Willard “Will” Rosborough of Portland, who died Nov. 28 (sic Nov 27) of age-related causes. He was 85.
He was born Jan. 26, 1919, in Seattle to Thomas and Mary Rosborough. He married Joan Hollis in April 1952 in Eugene. She died in 1990. Rosborough served in the Army as a sergeant in field artillery in Alaska, France and Germany during World War II. A University of Oregon graduate, he lived in Eugene from 1947 to 1962. He had worked as vice president of First Interstate Bank of Oregon. He enjoyed yard work and woodworking. He was a longtime, active member of Holy Family Catholic Church and a volunteer for St. Vincent de Paul.
Survivors include two sons, a sister, and four grandchildren.
Saturday’s services will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Portland, with recitation of the rosary at 7:40 a.m. followed by the funeral at 8 a.m. Private burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Park, Portland.
